Things I learned from my K-5 class

So, I was looking back on my Myspace for something and found this blog entry I posted back in '08...right after I started teaching Kindergarten. I thought it was still cute...you may or may not. Enjoy!

1.Nothing is ever your fault.
2.Everything is an accident.
3.The other person always started it.
4. Playdough is amazing...having cookie cutters to cut it with? even better..
5. Getting to write on a whiteboard is even cooler-it even makes math fun!
6. Being called the wrong name by your classmate can be the end of the world-at least for a minute or two...
7.There is such a thing as too many questions-[I'm now sorry to the camp cnslr. I annoyed for my constant what time is it questions.] ;-)
8. A $1.00 stuffed animal is more than enough to try and behave.
9. A sticker may be even better...
10. Hot wheels and monster trucks rock....and every boy is going to be a race car driver when they grow up ;-)
11.Shaking your sillies out in the morning really can relax you :-)
12.Heading off the teacher by saying I love you Miss Julia may or may not prevent you from getting in trouble (usually not though--haha--you can't "accidentally" hit someone then run to me and say you love me before i can get out of my mouth for you to come here now)
13. Not watching a movie with your mommy on Friday night because you moved to red for kicking someone can be devastating-even though you knew that you were close to being moved to red and you still disobeyed...
14. That some kids *don't* know you don't look in a bathroom stall while your friend is pottying...I guess you wondered why they door was there....
15. That the imaginary ball you chase because you are a puppy...might really be real...
16. Also covering yours ears when someone tattles on you doesn't mean you didn't do it, and really makes you look like you did because that is when your plug your ears--when you know you did something but don't want to admit it ;-)
